Pittsboro Bach Society will celebrate it’s third anniversary by going back to its roots. The group first met to read chamber music as a way of celebrating founder Ted Ehrhard’s birthday. We met in his living room and played Bach, ate, socialized, and all received gifts from Ted – well – sort of. He had done some extensive house cleaning to make room for the ensemble and wrapped up all of his “treasures” to give to the ensemble as presents. This writer received several (unused) bicycle inner-tubes. They were beautifully wrapped, of course.
On February 25th we will return to Ted’s house for a birthday performance for both Ted and the Bach Society. Due to the extremely small space this performance will be by invitation only.
Update: Venue changed! Open to the public (though seating will still be very limited).
This performance will be hosted by Tom and Lynn Egan, 741 Pinehurst Dr., Chapel Hill, NC – Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 PM
For further information call Ted at 919-545-9019
The program will include:
Mozart Rondo Alla Turca
J.S. Bach Clavier Concerto in f minor – Sandy Hobgood piano soloist
